Review: Lil’ Cub Swaddle Muslin

Hey!

I was so excited when Mini Viking was asked to review a new brand Lil’ Cubs.

Brought to you by a mum of two, Lil’ Cubs is an independent online baby shop bringing bright bold patterns to newborns and toddlers. Away with the pinks and blue, our swaddles, bibs, muslins and sleepsuits are perfect for both boys and girls and great for handing down to your next cub.”

The first thing you notice when you look at the muslins is the wonderfully bright colours. Made from 100% cotton and retailing at £8.50 they are perfect for mopping up all sort Mini Viking messes and keeping my shoulders nice and clean.

I also found that the colour washed really well, as you can see from above, I tend to find muslins fade very quickly. You can feel the quality and I loved the fun red apple design. Gender neutral, fun, bright colours are what we as a family have always been about, so this appeals to me greatly. It’s also the perfect present for someone who is expecting!

So what did Mini Viking think?

Freya muslin

I think the pictures speak for themselves! We played lots of “peek-a-boo”, I was saved from a few puke disasters and she had lots of little sleeps in them. Mini Viking is also starting to show the first signs of teething so she has taken to sucking on muslins as well!

We are very excited about this new brand and will be watching as they release some new and exciting products. One we are particularly looking forward to is their new rainbow chevron sleepsuit as seen below:

For now though Mini Viking will continue to enjoy the fun and bright colours of their fabulous swaddles & Muslins!

I never swaddled Amelia as a baby but she grew really attached to Muslins and still has one now for bedtime or when she’s cross. These ones look fab. She really likes the big swaddle ones and these are lovely and colourful and a great price for the size!! That sleepsuit is amazing too! Glad you enjoyed them :)!

I love the apple print and the colours are so vibrant! Fab price too x

  2. Neither of mine tool to swaddling despite best efforts! I love bright gender neutral designs as well, definitely one to keep an eye on. Especially for boys because boys stuff goes so dark so quickly as they grow up 🙁

I never bought muslin’s for any of mine (I have 4 monsters) but then when my niece was born and my sister used them I was forever like why didn’t I ever have these! Definitely the one thing I wish I had bought!

I always use a Muslin. I’m not sure it’s actually for anything unusual. Now they are a bit older we frequently use it for a snot rag. Yup totally gross. But much softer than tissues/wipes.

Love the muslin, it’s so pretty and unusual! Most unusual use for a muslin? blanket, tea towel, sun shade… we use them for everything. Your photos are stunning!

I’ve never swaddled Jude but I did with Noah. We still get lots of use out of muslins, I use them for wiping up practically everything.

Muslims are something you don’t know that you can’t leave without until you own one. 🙂 Unusual… Daughter like to use one as a “super hero” cape for Baby brother. Thank you for hosting.

I LOVE the muslins, I’ve never seen any that are nearly as colourful and cheery. My son is 18 months and sleeps with a boring white (now a bit grey…) muslin. I love the look of the sleep suit too – seems like a refreshingly different brand with great products x

Oh I love how bright it is! My twins loved being swaddled, comforting for them as they were use to being squashed up together in me!
