Mummy Viking: Running about with Lin & Leo

Hey!

Myself and the Vikings are always out and about. Even when just popping out to pick things up or drop one of them off, I seem to be dragging around a huge amount of stuff. When Lin & Leo asked us to review their new Cardinal Baby Change bag we were really excited. We already own their BabyBag in Red which has been a firm favourite of mine since Little Viking was born.

The Cardinal is designed for when you only want to take out the essentials rather than a days worth of baby bits. If you’re popping for a coffee, doing the school run, or you have a toddler who no longer requires you to carry the kitchen sink out with you, this bag is for you.

With 4 internal pockets (2 large and 2 small), there is space for nappies, baby wipes, nappy bags, bottom balm and hand sanitiser. It comes complete with a good-sized padded and removable changing mat. There is a detachable adjustable shoulder strap which can be worn over the shoulder or cross body, and the bag has D rings if you wish to attach it to a buggy.

I have been using ours for the school run. Little Viking is now completely potty trained, so I need very little for him but I cannot leave the house without nappies, wipes, a change of clothes and my essentials at any point. Mini Viking always likes to catch me unaware with an emergency change!

Lin and Leo full inside

As you can see we managed to fit all our essentials in, and get out of the house a lot easier as I was carrying less. This I found especially useful when Little Viking decides his legs no longer work and I end up carrying both of them!

The quality of the bag is also exquisite. Whilst not leather, it feels very like it, its easy to wipe clean and hasn’t marked. One of its biggest plus points is that its doesn’t look like a change bag (I find this is something Lin & Leo have gone for with all their designs). I know I will be able to use it once both kids are out of nappies just as a normal bag.

Lin & Leo really have found the perfect marriage between a change bag and a handbag, and the Cardinal the “mummy clutch” of the change bag world. We love it!

If you need something a little bigger, I can really recommend the BabyBag. As I am sure most of you are aware we use cloth nappies, so space in a change bag is also important to us. So our day-to-day bag we love is our red BabyBag.

I never leave the house without wet wipes!

These bags looks gorgeous! And don’t look like baby changing bags, which is great.

These bags are gorgeous but I found even the big changing bags are still too small. I have two under 2’s and in the end I switched from a changing bag to a backpack. I can get everything in there!

It’s got to be wipes – I use them all the time for all the children! I love this little change bag, just what I’ve been looking for now that my little one is bigger and I don’t need to take so much out with me.

This is so gorgeous, I love bags that function as nappy bags but look fashionable. Aside from obviously nappies, reusable wipes are essential for changes, messy feeding and runny noses!xx
